On our voyage together as we set sail
May the winds of good fortune always prevail
Let the sun shine bright, and the tears be few
As we begin each day with
“I love you”
On our voyage together as we set sail
May the winds of good fortune always prevail
Let the sun shine bright, and the tears be few
As we begin each day with
“I love you”
Forty five years have gone by like a blink of an eye yet I’ll always remember the 12th of November.
When you walked down the aisle with a radiant smile, we’ve been through some sadness and sorrow but with God’s love there is always tomorrow.
Looking back at all the memories we’ve had more than our share of life’s victories.
God’s protection has always been there as he’s cradled us with loving care,
Our worldly possessions will one day lose their luster and memories of our lives will fade away.
But we will leave this world with one legacy–Our children will be an honor of our memory.
You’ve had the silver and now you have the gold
It’s our fiftieth anniversary so we’re told
So break out the champagne and light out the skies
Now hurry it up, you know how time flies
Hey Bob Dierberg look alive!
Put on your dancing shoes, let’s see you jive!
Sharon you made such a beautiful bride
Your loving husband was bursting with pride
As you stood at the altar and took your vows
There were tears of joy in both mothers’ eyes
Who knows what fate tomorrow will bring
So lift your glasses high and let us sing
Happy anniversary and to many more
And this time next year we’ll have an encore!
Your Baltimore buddies, Kitsa and Bob
There is no greater treasure that I can give to you than the love within my heart
But I already gave you that from the very start
So this but a small reminder of that glorious day in November when we gave our vows of eternal love
As they were witnessed by the Lord above
Each year on the 12th of November I boldly rejoice
I thank the Lord we made the right choice
We laughed, we sang, and we cried
There’s been triumph and trail, but all in all it’s been a great ride
Someday when the curtain of my life begins to close and my time has come to leave
But there will be no need to grieve for I had a good life
But most of all I had a wonderful wife
Pick up the phone and dial that number
H-A-6-2-3-7-9
Pick you up in about an hour
Anywhere we go will be just fine
Oh dear God I’m falling deep
Can’t even get a good night’s sleep
The web of love has captured me
There is no way I’ll be set free
But I don’t care about the state I’m in
I’m happier than I’ve ever been
This love is like a strong addiction
I’m lucky to suffer from this affliction
May laughter drown your sorrows
And joy overcome any pain
Let your heart guide your tomorrows
And the love that resides there remain
And may happiness surround you as far as your eyes can see
But always remember that life is what you alone can make it to be
So lift your glasses high and repeat after me
May God grant us health and prosperity
With enduring love and longevity
Drink a toast to the past
Give a kiss for tomorrow
May your love everlast
And be a stranger to sorrow
This was written for Bob and Sharon Dierberg on their 30th wedding anniversary
One the first mistake one can excuse
But repeated often does not amuse
So be careful with each step you take
And be wary of the consequences that you make
Do not take advantage of my gently nature
For that too has it limitations
Exceed them and I can most assure
That my wrath will be beyond expectation
So when you make a promise
Be sure that you are sincere
Because a smile and a kiss
Do not always dry a tear
This was written at Towson Mall while impatiently waiting for my wife and daughter
The warmth of your kiss in the wintery cold
Kindles my heart to the passions untold
Then the spring appears with magnificent splendor
And bookends my soul to you I surrender
Through warm summer night with moonlight skies
We gaze at each other with heavenly sighs
Sood autumn appears with its golden hues
Only to strengthen my love for you
The season of time in the turn disappear
But the seasons of love will always be here
